The twisted honeycomb flavour was the idea of 21-year-old UCD graduate Ashling O’Carroll from Dublin.

Ashling went up against regional finalists from across the UK and Ireland in a public vote and won in July.

The new flavour combines honey, Madagascan vanilla and sea salt, with every pack containing less than 120 calories. This limited-edition recipe is also GM free and suitable for vegetarians. The team at Propercorn love the new taste because it experiments with the floral sweetness of honey on popcorn for the first time.

Twisted Honeycomb is now available in selected Spar, Eurospar, Mace and Londis stores in Dublin for €1.20. It can also be ordered through the Propercorn website.
