Ardatin Embroidery and Ballybar Ireland is hosting the Fabulous Fillies charity auction night, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.
The charity event will take place on 22 October at Ballykealy House, Co Carlow.
Included in the cost of a ticket is a three-course meal, drinks on arrival and a gift bag with local Irish goodies.
The main event of the night is an auction, with prizes ranging from premium Irish beef hampers and concrete troughs to hotel nights away and Irish whiskey.
Ciara Stanley and Claire Power, the owners of Ardatin Embroidery and Ballybar Ireland, aim to connect with their community through the event, as well as raise awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.
Ciara Stanley, Miriam and Rachel Hastings and Claire Power launching the Fabulous Fillies charity auction night.
As studies show that one in nine Irish women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, research into the causes and factors that influence breast cancer is paramount.
The research adds valuable knowledge to the development of treatments, screening and medication for cancer.
The National Breast Cancer Research Institute, based at the Lambe Institute, NUI Galway, is led by Professor Michael Kerin and funds a comprehensive research programme at the university.
Next to the charity night, Ardatin Embroidery and Ballybar Ireland has also launched a limited-edition Breast Cancer Pink Filly Shirt.
Proceeds from both the event and shirts will go towards the much-needed research done at the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.
Tickets can be purchased at www.ballybarireland.com.
