The last sale of 2015 at Clogher Mart saw a seasonal entry of 642 head of cattle pass through the rings. There was a steady demand reported in all sections on the day.
In the fatstock ring, beef cows sold to a top price of £1.46/kg for a 600kg Hereford. Other quality lots sold mainly from £1.04/kg to £1.15/kg. Plainer types made from £0.85/kg to £1.02/kg. Fleshed Friesians sold from £0.94/kg to £0.98/kg, with plainer types made from £0.70/kg to £0.78/kg.
Overage fat steers sold from £0.96/kg to £1.72/kg. Underage steers sold from £1.60/kg to £1.81/kg, with Friesians making from £1.08/kg to £1.16/kg. Underage fat heifers were a strong trade on the day and sold from £1.29/kg for a 700kg Angus to £1.87/kg for a 550kg Limousin.

Forward store bullocks sold from £450 to £500 over the weight. Medium weights sold mainly from £400 to £500 over the weight. Forwards store heifers sold from £350 to £500 over the weight.
