Based in Castlewellan, Co Down, Walter Watson Engineering manufactures cranes and agricultural equipment, such as land rollers, feed equipment and aerators.
The 3m Spiral Blade Aerator is the company’s latest offering.
The aerator has 7in forward-facing Hardox tapered blades, fitted around the circumference of its 36in barrel to penetrate the surface.
The barrel itself is built using 20mm steel, which is housed inside a frame by a 3in solid axle and nylon bush bearings on either end.
Transport
Transport is made easy with its hydraulic wheel kit. One double-acting ram moves the axle up and down into working and road transport positions. The safety check valve ensures the axle remains in its set position.
Both six-stud, heavy-duty stub axles are fitted with 400/60 R15.5 floatation wheels. The aerator has an unladen weight of 2.75t and a laden weight of 4.25t.
The aerator’s frame is painted with two-pack paint and comes with LED lighting as standard.
