There are 20 spring wheat varieties in the national list trial this year. The area got a boost in 2024 (7,088ha) and held onto some of that positivity in 2025 (4,695ha).

With that many varieties in the pipeline, there must be confidence in the crop’s ability to deliver from the trade.
