Honda MUV700/Big Red
Specification
Honda’s MUV700 is a very high-spec machine. It features independent suspension all-round, with good ground clearance. A single-cylinder 675cc Honda engine powers the UTV. It is the only UTV to feature an automotive-type transmission and offers three speed. The hydro-drive Kubota RTV900 is the only other UTV in our test to offer three speeds.
It did not feature any weather protection but it is likely this will be available by the time it comes to market in Ireland. It does feature unique half- doors, which provide a high degree of protection and safety for both driver and passenger.
Driving
The MUV700 drives and handles incredibly well, handling any type of terrain or conditions at its ease. If it were a diesel, it would be hard to beat.
Time trial
The Honda MUV700 was incredibly fast and stable around the time trial course. The only downside is the lack of a windscreen and roof to keep the muck and water out. It was faster than any other vehicle around the course.
