The makers of some of Ireland’s most popular TV shows are donning their wellies and heading for the Ploughing this week in a bid to recruit some new faces.

The award-winning Irish entertainment production company, Kite Entertainment, makers of shows like the hugely popular Ireland’s Fittest Family, Gogglebox Ireland, Love In The Country, Life Actually, Big Life Fix and Big Year In Big School, will be in Ratheniska, Co Laois from 17 to 19 September, with their ‘Fancy Being On The Telly?’ casting stand located at The Hub, Block 5, Row 11, Stand 187 at this year’s Ploughing Championships.

Kite Entertainment managing director Darren Smith is looking forward to meeting lots of people in Laois this week.

“Great casting is at the very heart of all our shows, time and time again we see Irish audiences responding really positively when presented with genuinely identifiable Irish characters so we’re confident that the Ploughing Championships will provide us with ample opportunities to meet loads of great people who could then end up dangling over a lake on Ireland’s Fittest Family, sitting on a couch for Gogglebox, finding true love on Love In The Country or starring in some yet to be announced shows currently being cooked up in Kite HQ.
