When and why did you set up your business?
I became a first-time mum in November 2019 to our little girl Charlotte. A year later, with Charlotte well settled into a routine, I found the evenings long with my husband John out on the farm, so I started to create hair bows for Charlotte and Dainty Sweetheart Designs was created. I suppose my product ideas are inspired by the different milestones of my two girls.
Can you explain the idea behind your Easter Hunt boxes?
Easter was always a very special time in my life as a child. I grew up on a sheep farm and it was the busiest time of the year because of lambing and even though it was so busy, we had the best Easter egg hunts.
Still to this day I can remember the excitement of going to the small wood part on the farm searching for what the Easter bunny had left us. It was truly magical and of course competitive!
I then continued this tradition with my niece and nephew. And now that I have two children of my own, it will continue with them and hopefully it will continue to grow through the generations.
My hope for each Easter hunt box that is received is that it brings as much excitement and memories for their little ones as it did for me.

What is included?
Each Easter egg hunt box has all the work done for parents. All they have to do is set it up with the instructions enclosed and sit back and join in on the fun. There is also a “no chocolate” Easter egg hunt box available to cater for allergies.

What is it about your business that brings you joy?
I love escaping to my craft room and just lose myself in creating. It gives me great headspace from the world.
What are your hopes for your business for 2022?
I hope to continue to grow my business and continue to create new products.
What is the best piece of advice you would give a startup business?
Don’t wait to start, just dive straight in.
