The Suffolk Society NI Branch sale in Ballymena Mart on Monday saw a Cherrylea ewe lamb from John Trimble, Newry, topping the trade at 9,500gns.
The January 2025-born lamb is sired by Ballynacannon Coldplay and out of a Craigdoo dam.
The next highest price of 6,000gns went to the reserve champion from the Glenroe flock of Sean & Jane McCloskey, Claudy, who also sold another ewe lamb from their pen for 6,000gns.

Following closely behind at 5,500gns was the overall champion shearling ewe, scanned for two lambs to Craigdoo Camicazi, from the Benedyglen flock of Michael & Caolan McNally, Dungiven.
In total, 13 ewe lambs made 3,000gns or more, with an average across the sale of £2,756.25 for the 34 ewe lambs sold. The sale also included 38 shearling and aged ewes, which averaged £1,481.
