The BBC Countryfile One Man and his Dog competition was filmed in Northern Ireland last Saturday. The sheepdog contest involves four senior and four junior teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Representing Ireland were Sammy Long from Ballybofey and his dog Roy. Ireland has won in the last three years so time will tell if the title will be defended. The programme will be broadcast on Sunday 25 September.
