Gardaí have recovered a stolen jeep and trailer that was taken from a filling station in Graiguecullen on the Laois-Carlow border.

Sheep farmer Jim Kealy sought the help of the local community to recover the stolen items yesterday evening.

At the time they were taken, there was 60 hoggets in the trailer and his border collie sheepdog was in the jeep.

The hoggets and sheepdog have been located safe and well.

Kealy wished to thank gardaí, the local media and the local community who assisted in the recovery of his stolen property.
