The Tesco Future Farmer Foundation is a development programme aimed at 20- to 35-year-olds who are interested in building a successful future in the agri industry.
The year-long programme covers a variety of topics, including business management skills, supply chain and personal development, while also delivering practical workshops.
The scheme is open to those aged between 20 and 35 on 1 October 2016, not in full-time education, from any sector and living anywhere in the UK or Ireland.
The programme was launched in 2014 and, since then, has helped around 150 young people to make their mark in the agri industry.
Industry-led training
The foundation is sponsored by industry leaders, including ABP, Arla, Bayer Group Science, Kepak and Ornua.
Interviews for the scheme will take place in September before a final group of 50 are chosen, including five Irish participants, in October. Successful candidates must be able to commit two days a month to the programme and there are no costs involved.
Applications close on 29 August and all the information can be found here.
