Uisce Éireann, Ireland’s national water authority, has announced it will be recruiting for 700 new jobs across the country. Many of the opportunities will be available over the next year, with immediate positions already waiting to be filled.

The roles will cover a range of areas offering working professionals and tradespeople at all levels the opportunity to work in their local communities.

From recent graduates to skilled workers, Uisce Éireann will provide ongoing training. They say they will offer good compensation and benefit packages to attract people into these roles and to provide career opportunities across rural Ireland and urban areas.

Uisce Éireann is Ireland’s national water utility responsible for providing secure, safe, and sustainable water services.

In 2023, they assumed full responsibility for the management of all public water services, which had previously been delivered by 31 local authorities.

Speaking about the opportunities, Dawn O’Driscoll, Uisce Éireann’s people and safety director, emphasises this is a direct result of continuing their development as Ireland’s national water authority.

“This is the largest recruitment announcement made by Uisce Éireann to date and reflects the scope and scale of the activities we are carrying out nationwide,” says Dawn. She details that there will be oppurtunities for front-line operations, science and engineering, administration, communications, management and IT.

“These new positions will not only offer a chance to make a tangible difference to your community but will provide plenty of opportunities to develop your career in a growing organisation.”

The company is looking to recruit people with diverse skillsets who want to play their part in delivering transformative water services that enable local communities to thrive.

Competitive salaries

Some of the positions currently available have salaries, ranging from €45,000 up to €83,905, for engineer and assistant engineer roles.
